interior, n.
Everything a firm contains that exists to move context between minds that cannot see the same state at once.
remote node, n.
Any component that must be sent a copy of the state in order to compute on it. Its cost is not the computation. It is the copy, the copy's staleness, and the machinery built to manage both.
resident, adj.
Coupled to the state it thinks about instead of being sent copies of it. Present between events at almost no cost. Re-derivable, at every instant, from the record it lives on.
reality, n.
The last remote node. The only one whose distance is the point, because only it can answer back.
